Littles ones love to be creative - Try these toddler craft ideas!
Kids love to get their hands dirty…sometimes too dirty! I have found the best crafts for kids and toddlers allow for just the right amount of mess to keep kids engaged but not so much that you will find paint throughout your house for months!
Here is a list of our favorite crafts for kids to make!
Playdough
This is a classic and can be made at home! Make sure your toddler is clear that this is NOT food! (I can see how it would be confusing being so mushy and nice-smelling.) It won’t hurt them if they eat it but it is kind of gross. haha
You’ll need:
Flour 3cups
Salt 1 1/2 cups
Water 3 cups
Vegetable Oil 2TB.
Cream of tartar 1TB.
Food coloring few drops or unsweetened “Kool-Aid” 1pkg

Foam Stickers
For the budding scrapbooker, sticky foam cut outs are easy, colorful, and fun for them to use. They make hats and visors and other things that your toddler can keep and wear after the project is complete. Also this one doesn’t take a ton of attention…they can do as much or as little as they want! Foam stickers and accessories are widely available at most craft stores. Here is a huge list of foam projects from AllFreeCrafs.com
Painting
Many toddlers are natural painters and it can be so fun to see how they see the world through their art. Use water-based paints that are easy to clean up, prepare an area with plenty of newspaper (or a dropcloth if you are so inclined) and get ready to make a beautiful mess! Crayola color wonder makes several options that still allow for maximum creativity with minimal mess. Check out Crayola Color Wonder products here.

Some great ideas thanks. I run a small home daycare and we are always looking for new things to create. http://www.woodcraftsforkids.com
